National Museum of American Jewish History
Following a strategic planning process that set an ambitious agenda for organizational renewal and evolution, the National Museum of American Jewish History (NMAJH, now named in honor of Stuart Weitzman) asked Anne Bergeron & Co. Consulting to help optimize its fundraising program. NMAJH was seeking to increase contributed revenue for programs and operations. Following an assessment of existing development activities, ABCC designed a multi-pronged plan to address institutional priorities and implement best practices. ABCC then trained and assisted the staff in a hands-on way to establish a major gifts program, enhance grantsmanship, strengthen membership and the annual fund, heighten donor stewardship, and improve prospect research and development operations. ABCC also introduced metrics to aid in evaluating results.
In addition, ABCC provided guidance on best practices in board governance that transformed the trustee cultivation and nomination process, reinvigorated board meetings, and enriched communications to foster engagement, encourage collaboration, and advance a culture of philanthropy among volunteer leadership.
